"Follow your bliss and doors will open where there where no doors before."
Joseph Campbell (Chapter 12 The Artist's Way)
Yesterday my husband and I went searching for places to take pictures.  We decided to walk through an antique store that we had been in many times before.  It was beautifully decorated for Christmas with twinkling lights and lots and lots of shiny objects.  But as we turned the corner there was an opening that I had never noticed before.  It was like walking through a magical door that led to quiet and solitude.  It was large and fairly dark but there was something special about it.  There was a calm and peacefulness to it that the front of the store did not have.  I am sure we will walk through that door many times again. Possibly, to hang one of my paintings or pictures on the wall.  Maybe, that was the door that will open many new adventures for me.  Only time will tell.
What door would you like to open this week?

Hi Ginny, I love the space in the picture. When I first saw it I thought, wow, what a cool loft... It has the feel of a home to me.

This week I would like to open the door to opportunity.

BTW thank you for your lovely, thoughtful comment on my blog. I love Sparkling positive energy as your words. I look forward to reading your blog and seeing you sparkle over the coming year.

Best, Tia

What a beautiful space! Awesome photography too, not that easy with so little light.
Loved the story about the door. Magical indeed.

I love an antique store that draws me in like this one. I want to open the door to the new year. I am ready for 2012. Can we skip Christmas? Terah

What a beautiful, calm looking room. The door I would like to open is to my creativity....to be able to dig deeper and create from my inner self.

A beautiful post, Ginny! That room certainly has a special ambience to it.

I think I would like to open a door to better health this week.

Love,
