“Everything changed the day she figured out there was exactly enough time for the important things in her life."
                                                                                                                        Brian Andreas

This is the third part of my Sunday's quote and a question series.  The quote is to inspire me throughout the week and the question is used as I reflect upon the past year and begin to plan what I want to do next.

This week's question is:   Have I left enough time in each day for the important things in my life?

It amazes me that each week as I begin to answer my question everything goes back to how aware I am of my own wishes and desires.  I have to be totally aware of what is important in my life before I can begin to leave time for it.  We are all surrounded by people and advertisements that tell us what we should have or what we need to be happy.  But it is only when I leave time for quiet reflection that I remember what is important to me and what I should make time for each day.  As I spend time this week reflecting on how I spend my time and what adjustments I may need to make, I realize that there are some things in my life that I may have to say goodbye to.  If I have to say ”No." to something that no longer serves me or my family, I am comfortable with that.  Because I know that by saying, "No" to one thing means I can now say, "Yes!" to something else.  And that something else will be something that enriches my life and the lives of those I love.

I hope that you will join me this week in seeing if you are leaving enough time in each day for the important things in your life.  It will definitely be time well spent.

When you share your dreams and your talent with the world, magic happens.  Let the magic begin!

Yesterday I said no to going anywhere and just spent a quite day at home. I enjoyed drawing, cooking, and keeping up with blogs and games on my iPad, and watched an old movie I'd first seen when I was a teenager! An enjoyable, quiet day foe me!
Your drawn lady looks like she is dressed to go out and have a good time! It's nice that we make time for it all!

Lovely painting and quote with good advice. We do have to leave time for what is important. It's hard to let go of the other things though.

I love your thoughts today and your hatted girl. I am constantly readjusting what I can do in a ny given day. Taking more time to recharge is essential.

Love your painting and quote. Yes it is easy to get caught up in stuff that really doesn't matter. I try really hard to make time for those that need me and also a little me time too. :)

Dear Ginny, thank you for very inspiring words (we all need quiet time and we all sometimes need to say no) and your portrait is beautiful and full of love. You are very inspiring and creative woman.

It's a very important question. Some days I don't leave nearly the time I would like for some things... Cute sketch, I love her hat!

What a great question to ask! I have discovered in order to have enough time I need to plan to do what is the most important to me. I have been having "playdates" with my five-year-old Godson since school started this year. I always wished I "had more time for him." Well, since it is on my regular schedule there is enough time for him! I naturally introduce him to the things I love which means... I get plenty of time for the things I love, too!

Your art reflects the quote so well. She looks so contemplative and I would love to borrow her hat!! :~)

I love hats, cute picture! For me it varies day to day how much I get to do... Some days though I'd love to do better!
