Say Something Positive - To Yourself

I always look forward to writing my Wednesday's post where I share a Kaizen-Muse coaching tip or strategy.  Today I wanted to share my thoughts on the power of positive thinking and how we can turn those negative voices (we all have them) into powerful affirmations of who we are and what we are doing. Muhammad Ali said, "It's the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief.  And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen."   If we speak to ourself with a negative voice, it's hard to move forward.  But if we talk to ourself like we would to our best friend things can begin to change.  Affirmations can be quotes or short statements that we create ourselves.  We need to see them and feel them  and say them on a regular basis until they become part of who we are.

Without realizing it I have created an affirmation that I truly believe. I am a new creativity coach.  I love what I do and I think I have important things to share.  But creating a business takes time.  Without realizing it I have said to several people, "I know it will happen."  and I do.  Whenever I say those words, " I know it will happen." I can feel the energy shift so that I want to take the next step to make it happen.  I believe our thoughts become our reality because of the choices we make and the steps we take.  When I believe that my coaching business will grow I have fun doing the work that will make that happen.

Do you have an affirmation that works for you?  Is it posted where you can see it every day?  Do you use it often?  If you do, I would love it if you would share it with us.  If you don't, I encourage you to find a quote or to create your own positive statement that will remind you of just how special and unique you are. Compliments that you receive from co-workers, friends and clients can become positive affirmations.  Keep them, post them, share them. As you continue on your creativity journey today, remember to speak to yourself as you would to your very best friend, with positive words, support and kindness.  You deserve them!

When you share your dreams and talent with the world, magic happens.  Let the magic begin!

What a gorgeous capture of the flower, Ginny! I used to use affirmations regularly, but got away from it. Thanks for the reminder, coach.

Oh, beautiful beautiful image! I know it will happen, too! It is happening now! And affirmations... yes. Lately I have been focusing on the Dag Hammerskjold quote, "For all that has been, thanks. For all that will be, YES!" Love that quote! Featured it on my blog recently, too.

Big happy smiles, Ginny!

Hey, this was a good reminder. I used to do this, but have stopped.

As I've been sick lately with some kind of awful cold virus, my affirmation is "I am healthy and whole." I even printed it out so I can put up places where I WILL see regularly. I'll also put it on my screensaver.

Happy day to you, Ginny:~)

p.s. The picture is stunning. The flowers look like fan dancers:~)
