Inspiration and A Question- Who Inspires You?

"People inspire you, or they drain you - pick them wisely."  Hans F. Hansen

As I continue my Sunday series of a quote to inspire me through the week and a question to reflect upon so that I as I head into the new year I know where I want to go and want I want to do, I realize that there are lots and lots of pieces that are involved in creating the life you want to live.  When you combine the fact that there are so many things to think about with the fact that we are always growing and changing it is no wonder that we sometimes get confused.  But I completely believe that the more we are aware of who we are and what we want to do with each day the easier it becomes to make decisions when choices are given and opportunities present themselves.  My questions for this week were inspired by the quote above.

.             Who are the people that inspire you?  What is it about them that inspires you?

I am inspired by people who know who they are and what they want to do.  I am inspired by people who are unsure of who they are and what they want to do but who try new things and look at life in lots of different ways until they find the way that is right for them.  I am inspired by people who are curious and ask questions but then really listen to the answers. I am inspired by people who have lots of ideas.  I love the look in their eyes when they start to brainstorm and come up with twenty different possibilities but then are able to narrow them down into one idea that works. I am inspired by kind caring people who are generous to others but still know how to say "No" so they have time to take care of themselves. I am inspired by people who are passionate about what they do and are willing to explain it to me even if I have no understanding of what they are talking about. I am inspired by people who love their life and live it the way that makes sense to them.

It would be unfair and unwise to think that everyone I share my day or life with could be all of those things all of the time. But as I go through each day and meet new people I am going to become more aware of the people that I interact with.  I am going to look for the kindness in someone's eyes or the laughter that they share.  I am going to feel their passion as they explain what they do and ask questions about their adventures.  I am going to learn to say "No" to what is not important and "Yes" to what makes a difference.  Inspiring people are everywhere.  We just have to look for them.  Who inspires you?

When you share your dreams and your talent with the world, magic happens.  Let the magic begin
                                                                                                                              Ginny.

Ginny your red trees are so lovely, I love red trees!
I'm inspired by people who live their life authentically, people who are not impressed by material things, simple folk who have a passion to live life to the full in their own authentic way!
Have a great day,
hugs
Kat

I am inspired by those who live passionately, authenticity, those who are giving no matter what. It take so little to be kind so I am impressed by that too. I love this post. The painting has such depth, love those red trees.

Love those beautiful trees! A great post! I am inspired by people in my everyday life and the way they deal with particular situations and also inspired by the books I read, movies I watch, and, of course, the art I see and create!!

This is a beautiful painting. I absolutely LOVE red trees. Not sure why but have always been drawn to them. These are lovely.

For me, some individuals who inspire me are Abe Lincoln, Audrey Hepburn and in my personal life, my ballet teacher and art teacher.

Sending hugs. :)

I love the swoosh! I feel in your trees. Naturally the colors bring me peace, too.

I am inspired by so many people and things: I am inspired by the river and all its wonders, I am inspired by people who serve others selflessly yet maintain a strong sense of service to themselves. I am inspired by good music and poetry. I am inspired by people who are courageous... to name a few.

Great question!!

I really enjoyed reading your post, How I love your pastel!
"learn to say "No" to what is not important and "Yes" to what makes a difference," is something that I'm always trying to work on.

Who inspires me? Nature.

Such warm and colorful autumn art, Ginny. You inspire me with your creativity! I find I have less patience with people who I find self important or narrow minded and I want to spend my time with folks who are open, creative, and loving.

Love the picture!!!!

My list would be long, but here are a few:

I am inspired by people who stick by their beliefs, even if it's unpopular to do so. I am inspired by people who make others laugh, are compassionate and creative. I am inspired by people who don't give up and those who are always willing to help someone else. I probably could go on and on, but I'll stop here.

This is a lovely post:~)

Love your vibrant painting and again we are on the same page...these types also inspire me. I am fortunate to have a wonderful group of friends that fit this bill too! They support and inspire me because they are intelligent, wise, current, adventurous, passionate, kind, loving generous women!! I am blessed! All the ppf people inspire me too!!

Beautiful trees and beautiful post, Ginny. Very inspiring as well. I am inspired by nature, people who are kind, creative and wise, life in itself. Being inspired is like being connected and aware of higher and unseen energy, power and beauty. Big hugs to you!!!
