Happiness is.......

It's Friday and time to reflect upon the week and all the things that made me happy.  Unfortunately, all I can think about is how my cute little puppy has turned into a very high maintenance dog with shyness issues.  I know we will work through all of this but her problems have really changed my life right now.  She is fine with me but will not go to or do anything with anyone else.  We have started working with a trainer so hopefully that will help.  If anyone out there has an idea, I would love to know what worked for your dog.
So after much thought about something other than Chloe, I realized we did have some really nice moments this week.  One in particular stands out.  It was really hot Saturday and we didn't do much so we wanted to get out of the house.  We decided to just take a ride going nowhere in particular.  We saw a sign for a park not far from the house that we had never noticed before.  We followed a long windy road to the park which was beside a great river.  There were swings (for adults) benches, tables, biking and hiking trails and not very many people.  It was a great find not but 10 minutes from the house.  If you are wondering if we just moved to the area.  No, we have lived here for at least 18 years but I have never heard of this particular park nor driven down this road which leads to a dead end.  So finding this little jewel so close to home made me really excited and happy. It was really fun finding such a hidden treasure.  What made you happy this week?

This Friday practice really helps us focus on the positive, doesn't it? I'm glad you could get past your doggie challenges and share your story of the hidden treasure near your home--a cool relaxing place to visit on a hot summer day. What a wonderful treat!

That's an amazing find. I love that there's always something great to experience if we stay open to it. What a fruitful little adventure you went on!

I have empathy with you on your doggie issues, my two are the opposite though, whenever a stranger arrives they nearly bowl them over with excitement and if the guests stay over they cry outside their bedroom door to get in if possible! We worry about them like children don't we? I hope the trainer can help. Still you have a new place for socializing.

Have a happy weekend.

Nothing better than puppies and parks! Oh how I miss parks and want to have a puppy. Is your little one socialized with other dogs? Hanging out with a pack usually teaches them to feel more comfortable with their own first, people after that might be easier. Just my little bit of advice. I watch Dog Whisperer way too much.

Happy Friday!
