Celebrate

I was painting today and just could not complete anything that felt right.  So I decided to look back on things I had painted in the past to see what would inspire me and I found this pastel.  When I saw it I knew immediately that it felt right to me and it made me happy.  So today rather than worry about what I couldn't create I decided to celebrate something that I still like and that inspires me to keep on painting.  Inspiration comes from many places.  It can come from the work of others, from nature, from a class, or a great teacher.  Now, I am finding that it can come from something that I have created.  Is there something that you would like to celebrate?  Is there a piece of work that reminds you exactly why you paint or write, sketch or compose?  It's fun to look at our work and to celebrate not only what we have done but what we might produce in the future.  Won't you take a minute to celebrate with me?

Wow... so beautiful and so 'soft'! Love it!

I often just start with a background, because i just like making backgrounds in different layers. Sometimes the inspiration for more just comes, sometimes not! Then I just make some doodles, something easy and fun. :)

this is a beautiful painting that says "celebrate Spring" to me! It reminds me of a carnation flower.

Flowers are on my mind too. I am going through a period where I like a lot of what I create... but I know this is probably dangerous!

Looking through your body of work is certainly a way to regenerate your creative juices, and I can see how this beautiful blossom could do that. I can also relate to how they take you back to the time you created them. Blessings!

That flower deserves to be framed and put in your office where you can see it every day.

While I'm not as artistic as you, I have taken some of my creative works -- photography and graphic designs and hung them in my office. While I imagine this may sound a bit egotistical...I don't hang them because I think they're great art, but rather as art I AM PROUD OF. I look at them every day and they reminds me, like your flower did for you, to celebrate my own personal creativity.

FRAME IT, GINNY...sit it where you see it. It's really a lovely flower -- full of life and color. It makes me smile:~)

Beautiful, love the color! Is it possible that you are turning a corner into a new creative path.... I find when artists are a bit stuck or in a lull they tend to come back with verve in a new direction! I can't wait to see what transpires! I wonder if the answer is in the colors!
