                                                                            Build
My word for this year is build.  My focus is on three areas, my work, my connections with people who share the same interests, and my health.  Towards the end of the month I take some time to reflect upon what I have accomplished.  It is so easy to get caught up in the every day drama of life that we forget where we are going.  So this year I promised myself that I would not forget what I wanted to accomplish but actually celebrate each step along the way.  This month was again focused on health.  I have been building upon the foundation I started years ago. I am more conscious of the choices I make and the way that I am taking care of myself.  I am building and keeping a healthier lifestyle one choice at a time.  What I have noticed is that people are so willing to share what works for them.  Sara, from A Sharing Connection wrote that she keeps a pretty pitcher of water on her countertop.  Since I have never been able to make myself drink enough water, I thought I would see if this makes a difference for me too.  It does.  Having the water in a pretty pitcher reminds me to take a glass.  Thank you so much Sara for not only reading my blog for taking the time to make a suggestion that makes a big difference.

Self-care is an important part of leading a creative life.  When we eat right, get enough sleep, and exercise it is easier to create and build the life we want to live. I hope that you will take the time to take care of yourself.  And if you have any tips that will help me continue to build my healthier lifestyle, I would love to hear them.

When you share your gifts and your talent with the world, magic happens.  Let the magic begin!

Hi Ginny
The colours in this are wonderful. The blue especially makes me feel like smiling. I wish I had great words of wisdom to share with you as you did with me in your lovely email but I'm still figuring stuff out myself. I guess I just think you should keep creating your paintings. They have such a zen like quality that they must be as therapeutic for you to create as they are for us to view.

There is addition to your colour layers a lot of space, where the eye of the viewer can prove and add to your composition, very interesting

Have a nice week

Much love...

Your painting has such beautiful layers of colors! I enjoy running during the week, I think it helps my immune system stay strong!

What a sweet thing to do. Thank you for mention and I'm pleased the "watcher" pitcher is working as well for you as it does for me.

I'm amazed at how much more I drink when it's staring me in the face. I've actually thought about putting a sign on it, DRINK ME (like Alice in Wonderland). However, I'm not sure if I'm ready for Alice's adventure...at least not yet:~)

You are doing a wonderful job of taking care of yourself and keeping your priorities. I like the idea of checking with yourself at the end of the month. Good idea.

I like the painting, especially how the blue water stands out against the golden-red sky. Lovely:~)

I've even had new years resolutions for several years to drink water! I force myself because I know how important it is for moving joints. Try a pitcher of water with ice and lemon....it may just entice you more! Or get a huge insulate mug...fill it up first thing in the morning and promise yourself to drink one or two a day of those! Have you seen the movie" Fat sick tired and nearly dead." I found it quite intriguing all he had to say! Have I done it?....no not yet...lol

Ginny, sorry for the late reply. Your painting is so lovely. I enjoy how each piece you do just overflows with peace and gentleness....must be a reflection of your heart and who you are. :)
