Wednesday's Walk/Photo Heart Connection

Each month I participate in Kat Sloma's wonderful Photo-Heart Connection.  I look forward to this exercise and I know you will enjoy looking at all of the wonderful pictures and blog posts as well. So please take a minute to visit Kat at KatEyeStudio.

When I looked through the pictures I took this month, this picture seemed to talk to me.  It is not the best picture but I kept coming back to it again and again.  The flower that is just beginning to bloom represents so many things to me but the most important thing right now is the reminder of how something small can grow into something big and beautiful if we cherish it and take care of it.  We all have goals and dreams that we want to accomplish.  They often start with a very small idea and grow from there.  If we have confidence, if we believe in ourself and our dreams, and if we take care of them every day they can grow and bloom and grace the world with their beauty just as the flower above will do. So if you have a dream that you want to make come true, I hope that you will take care of it and then share it with the world when you are ready.  Just like the world can never have too many flowers, it can never have too many dreams or dreamers. Remember:
When you share your dreams with the world, magic happens!

Nice words which fit so well with the flowers opening up and the realization of dreams.

"Just like the world can never have too many flowers, it can never have too many dreams or dreamers."

I have had this happen to me before when I look at photos or my art at times- there are ones that aren't the best on a technical level compared with other photos of mine but best doesn't always mean the most powerful or meaning-filled. Your photo is fantastic- love how you have the blurred background to keep the focus on the bud!

Ginny -- Your words were beautiful, as usual. I loved the "lesson" you pulled from this picture. What I also loved about the picture was the flower next to one's that blooming. It's like a reminder of what we can be if we allow ourselves to bloom. I can see why you kept coming to this picture.

You seem to have found peace in your life. I know it's probably not there all the time, but I sense a calmness in your words. I'm so pleased you are sharing your gifts with us and with yourself.

Thanks for sharing both the photo and your thoughts about it.

Such wise words tumbling from such small inspiration. Glad I read this. I need to think about it over and over and over so that I will indeed make those steps toward new.

That is exactly what I thought when I first saw your photograph, the potential, the possibilities.

I love it when something keeps coming back to me. It's like it's a message I am meant to understand and it will reappear until I can internalize it. Good for you for stopping and noticing!

Beautiful image and a lovely photo-heart connection. I'm guilty too many times of letting my dreams take a back seat to a busy life! Thanks for reminding me that dreams are so important!!
