Thinking Ahead

Wow, time really goes fast.  I had planned on writing everyday and it has been six days since my last post.  This week there have been lots of special moments.  I got to see an old friend that I seldom get to see.  She has three beautiful children and it was a pleasure to watch them play with my grandchildren.  It was also fun to talk with Bonnie and get her views on life.  She is always so honest about everything. 
Soon , I am going to work with a large group of women about getting to know themselves better and beginning to reflect on what they are doing now and what they want to do in the future.  I am excited about this adventure and hope things go well.  The subject matter is something I feel strongly about.  As working women, it is so easy to put everyone and everything before ourselves and then when we reach retirement it takes so much longer to find yourself and what you want to do.  If we make sure to make time to pursue hobbies and outside interestes all through our career, it can often lead us to a retirement full of fun things to do.  I am enjoying retirement but it took a while to get to this point. I am hoping I can help others think and plan for it long becomes a reality.
