What a great reminder the above quote is as we start to think of all of the things we want to do or see or accomplish during the next year. Believing in ourselves and our dreams is one of the first steps towards making wonderful things happen. Sometimes we do believe but we don't know what to do first. What I have found is making that first gesture whether it is writing your dream down, telling a supportive person about it, or shouting it from the hilltops is usually the hardest step. I would love to say that each consecutive step is easier, which is sometimes the case,but not always. But when things get hard, and we all know they will, believing that you can accomplish whatever you set out to do will always help you find a way.
When I look at the picture above I see that tiny speck beneath the cloud. What if he didn't believe he could make it or find his way? What if he never tried? What courage it takes to spread your wings and fly. What joy we all feel when we do.
I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. I hope that you will always believe that you can do whatever your heart tells you to do and that this year you will take the time to spread your wings and fly!
