"There is more to life than simply increasing its speed."  Mahatma Gandhi

I cannot think of a better way to begin the week than with a reminder to slow down and and enjoy the important things in life.  I hope that you too will enjoy what ever makes you the happiest.  I know for me it will be time to sit in the sunshine, read a book, talk with a friend, and just sit back and think about my paintings.  I am going to take time to enjoy the body of work I have collected and determine what I like most about it.  Instead of worrying about what I could do better, I am going to celebrated what I like best.  Does slowing down sound appealing to you?  How could you make that happen?

When you share your dreams and your talent with the world, magic happens.  Let the magic begin.
                                                                                                                        Ginny

Ginny your pastels are so peaceful and the colors so lovely, I've enjoyed going through all your posts and seeing the lovely snow pictures, those days must have been special! You are so right in taking slow time, life goes by quickly that it is most important to slow down and appreciate our moments! No plans...no rushing around, just enjoying a particular moment, dreaming, enjoying the light, that particular time alone or with a loved one. Your posts are so often filled with wise words I love reading. Keep on enjoying your art dear friend, your work is so lovely, just love and follow your heart as you do and enjoy, that is the most important!
Hugs and blessings your way
Kat

Love this painting and I love the idea of looking back at your work and seeing what you like about them, rather than what you don't like. Very inspiring. Happy SS

I think these just keep getting better and better. I like the paper you used on this one, as the textured look is dynamite!

I couldn't agree with you more. It's so hard to balance things in life once in awhile, isn't it?! Beautiful artwork, too. I love this piece and could look at it all day. :)

That's one of my favorite Gandhi quotes! I spent the morning with a two year old -- what a wonderful way to slow down and enjoy the moment. Your pastel is just beautiful -- hope you are enjoying just looking at it.

It is important to slow down and reflect on what you've learned in your journey -- a respite before you move on. I don't often do this, but I've been working on appreciating the joy of learning something new and really absorbing it before I move on.

I hope in your time of reflection, you take a moment to realize how much you've changed in the last few years. In addition, I hope you appreciate the good things you're been giving to others through your paintings, your coaching and your blog posts. Take this in.

My world is a better place for knowing you, Ginny. You are important to me and I love your messages here. They are soothing, calming and encouraging:~)

The oddest thing just happened....as I was writing about slowing down so to speak in a different way, I though of you....and that I haven't read a blog post for a while.... I don't know how that happened!! I stopped come for a visit...bazaar...It's these kinds of things that remind me there really is more in this universe than we can see or understand!! There is a fine thread connecting all of us!! Happy hump day!

Hugs Giggles

Slowing down is a lesson I learn and re-learn and just keep trying to live. Sometimes it's easier than others. I love that you were going to spend time celebrating your body of work without criticism. Good for you! What did you enjoy most about your work as a whole?
