Friday's Special Moment of Gratitude

I have been taking a wonderful photography class which will end this week.  Several of our assignments have had us refer to our inspiration file of pictures in order to complete the assignment.  I have learned so much about myself and my photography that have decided to create an inspiration file for my paintings as well.  The above painting will be the first to be a part of my file.  When I look at it I remember where I was and what I was doing when I painted it.  I remember how relaxed I felt as I painted and how proud I was when I completed it.  It felt special to me and still does.  It inspires me to continue painting and to push myself to get better.  I think that is what an inspiration file is supposed to do.
This week my list of things that I grateful for could go on and on.  I am especially grateful for the incredible sunny and breezy day we had today.  It was perfect convertible weather so the top came down and the music was turned up.  Tomorrow it is going to rain again but at least we had today to remind us that spring is just around the corner.  I am also grateful for all of the support I get from my online friends both new and old.  I am so excited every time I read a comment or get an email from someone I have never met but consider a friend.  I have learned so much from so many people and I want to thank all of you.  And last but not least I am so excited that a Panera Bread opened five minutes from my house.  It will be a great place to meet friends for coffee or maybe even go and draw a little!
What are you grateful for this week?
This post has been linked to Paint Party Friday something I look forward to each week.

Your painting is lovely, Ginny! Is that a watercolor? How great that it is warm enough to put the top down...what fun! I am also grateful for the warm weather and spring flowers. Have a relaxing weekend!

What a good idea..inspiration file. I can see why you want this in your file, feels warm and serene. I am grateful having a house...it is snowing outside, for having a car to transport myself to art gatherings and stores for necessities, and of course all my family and friends, for music and art and health.

You are so right to use this one as an inspiration. It's so beautiful and delicate. Your tree in full Autumn color is especially good.

And I like your comments on things to be grateful for. I think I need to do that this weekend as I'm finding some past hurts and pains creeping in. Oh dear me. lol Thank you for the inspiration.

Lovely water color and your photographic images are beautiful as well. I think it is a perfect beginning piece of art work .I never heard of Panera Bread, is it something from the states? Sounds yummy and a nice spot to sit quietly and create.

There are many things to be grateful for..... there is always more good than bad.

An inspiration file sounds like a great idea, Ginny! Beautiful painting. I don't think we have Panera Bread chains here in Australia but I'll keep my eyes peeled.

We're having a rainy weekend here. A little too heavy for my liking but at least we can stay indoors and relax so that's something to be grateful for.

Have a lovely and relaxing weekend,

Love,
Serena xo

I think this is one of my favorites of yours! I love how you captured the light and reflections, and the soft subtle washes are so pretty. And I love the idea of an inspiration file. I am also grateful for the warm day and the reminder of Spring.

I love the watercolor. It deserves to be framed!

It's true about online friends. They are special. We may never meet them, but it doesn't matter. The connection can feel just as strong as if they were us in flesh and blood.

Be good to yourself. I'm pleased you are taking time to create; it's a place where time or worries do not exist. Enjoy it:~)

This is beautiful, Ginny, it looks so lovely and calm, like a perfect place to sit and paint. Although a nice café around the corner also sounds very nice. Enjoy a nice cup of coffee!
