Each Monday I facilitate a workshop called All About You. It's a time for the eight women in the group to focus on themselves and their hopes and dreams. There is a lot of laughter and reflection as well as some important AHA moments. Last Monday we talked about play and how much or how little of it we do each week.
It is interesting to compare how we played as a child and how we play now. Most of us do some of the very same things or something just a little different but it still includes the same sort of activity. After identifying the things we love to do we created an ideal day and of course those childhood activities (in some form) were usually included. It was fun taking a look back and remembering all of the ways we used to play and even more important to share ways to bring more play into our lives now. Do you remember how you used to play? Do you remember how it made you feel? What do you do now that brings that same childlike wonder, laughter, and enthusiasm into your life? Remember, "We don't stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing." George Bernard Shaw
I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend that is filled with everyday laughter and many many special moments.
When you share your gifts and talents with the world, magic happens. Let the magic begin!
