It is Monday and time to start the week.  It may be a rainy week with lots of storms. The perfect time to clean out closets, read, write and paint. A perfect week to be creative.  But the more I think about it anytime is the perfect time to not only be creative but to recognize the creativity within ourself and others.
As I continue to walk on my creative journey, it has been such a pleasure to meet so many people who are willing to share what they are doing and learning.  It has been so much fun to watch their talents grow and flourish.  It truly inspires me to try new things and to keep stretching.
So my goal for this week is to paint more, write more, and take pictures of what really inspires me each day.  As I sit here watching the sun come up while listening to the birds singing, I realize how lucky I am to be able to experience all of these things not once in awhile but everyday.  All I have to do is slow down and become aware of the wonderful opportunities that surround me and then take advantage of them.  Each one of us has different opportunities depending upon where we live and what we are doing to be creative. That is what makes sharing our knowledge and experiences so exciting.  So please keep encouraging yourself and others to continue your creative pursuits and to share what you are doing so that we can all learn and grow together!
I would love to know how you will express yourself creatively this week?

Hi Ginny!

Besides my photography, I'm teaching a watercoloring class to some young students once a week. It's so much fun for me to help them express their creativity! It sounds like you have a busy week planned -- enjoy!

p.s. That's a beautiful image -- did you do it? Can you display your images in a larger format? I'd love to see it bigger!

Ginny,

I'm also curious about the image. It's really pretty. Did you create it? I agree with Gina, I'd love to see your art in a larger format.

Also, it would be really nice if you put more up at your site, but if you do, be sure you add your copyright to it. It's really easy to do. Contact me if you have questions.

In answer to your question, I have two things going creatively. I am participating in a photo contest (my first) about cats. I don't expect to win, but it's the trying that matters.

Also, as you know, I'm working hard on creative writing and using an online site that gives feedback. I smile as I say this...it's not easy sometimes when you get feedback about something you've created. Still, I pay attention to it because I know I can be better...I'm definitely a "work in progress."

Lovely post...as usual:~)

Gina and Sara, thank you so much for the suggestions. I will start to put up more of the pictures I actually take as well as make them larger. It means alot that you both take the time to read my blog as well as make suggestions to help it grow. Have a great day!

Thanks for the inspiring words! I need to remember to slow down and enjoy things, especially when it gets busy around here.
