Healthy Living

It's Sunday and time for me to think about what I did last week that was healthy and to set some new goals for this week.  On Wednesday I again said that I was going to exercise more and eat healthier.  I also said that I was going to blog about my results each Sunday and thus the reason for today's blog.  I would not say I was perfect from Wednesday until this morning but I was better.  We had a huge salad for dinner last night with grilled chicken and lots of vegetables.  I really enjoyed it and definitely will make more this week. I did add a walk or two so that's good.  I am also going to add at least two more walks this week which should bring me up to four or more.  I was hoping my puppy would enjoy walking with me but unfortunately this is still not her thing.  So I will keep working with her but I will also make time for walks just for me.  I'll listen to some music and enjoy my time outside which will have to be early morning or later in the evening since it is still so hot. I know that on Wednesday Ceanne commented that she rides her bike back and forth to work.  I think that is wonderful for so many reasons.  I'd love to hear what you do to keep yourself healthy.  I think I need some new and interesting ideas to keep this journey , which has been lifelong, fresh and new.  Have a great healthy week.

I try to do at least 30 minutes of exercise a day, every day. It's a manageable goal -- occasionally I miss a day, but not too often. I love walking, especially in the early morning, when it's cool and quiet. I've been swimming laps at our neighborhood pool, which is a great workout for me. And, of course, yoga is very important for my body and soul, and try to get to class twice a week. Don't you do yoga too?

A dress is like a barbed fence. It protects the premises without restricting the view. Do you think so?
