Happiness equals spending time in a beautiful garden!

Once a week I go to a local arboretum to take pictures or to draw.  Years ago, when the area was farmland, the property was owned by two doctors who turned it into a wonderful garden.  When one of the doctors passed away, his partner sold the property to the city and now everyone can enjoy the magical place they created. The property has beautiful trees, wonderful flowers and magnificent sculptures everywhere you look.  For me this week, happiness is two-fold.  The two special people in my life who are ill are getting better.  And I got to spend a couple of hours in the garden on a sunny morning.  A week could not get better than that.

As you probably know, I love flowers and gardens too. Just walking around my neighborhood and looking at everyone's Spring flowers brings me pleasure. Is that a photo from the Arboretum? Glad to hear that your dear ones are getting better. Happy weekend!

I'm glad to hear your loved ones are getting better and I'll pray that they're 100% soon. The gardens sound like a lovely place to visit. There is a local Japanese garden I love to visit and take photos, sit and contemplate, and just soak up the peace. I'm happy you have a place like that, too!

Ginny, so glad to hear that your loved ones are feeling better. What a relief for you. And I can just imagine how healing it is to go to your favorite garden spot and write or draw. What a gift to the community to have these gardens available.
