Friday's Special Moments of the Week

I think in my neighborhood everyone has gotten spring's message to go out and party and play.  This has been an incredible week in the south.  The days have been sunny but with just enough breeze to be cool.  The sky has been blue, the flowers are beginning to bloom, and the trees are turning green.  Everywhere you look you see people walking, running, and having fun.  There are kids in the playgrounds, parents playing tennis and golf, and teenagers just having fun no matter where they are.
My husband and I took a motorcycle ride to a local park.  As we sat on the bench overlooking the lake, I told him I felt like I was in an old fashioned postcard.  Everywhere you looked there were people enjoying themselves.  There was a group of elderly ladies (walkers and all) who were having such a good time talking and laughing.  There were couples strolling (not walking) holding hands as they meandered the trails.  There were unmotorized boats on the lake that glided past young boys with their kites.  It was really a beautiful place to be on a sunny afternoon.
Those are the images that made this week special for me.  This was a week filled with natural beauty!  This was a week filled with simple pleasures!  I couldn't ask for anything more.
