Friday's Special Moments of Gratitude

It is Friday and time to reflect on all of the special moments that I am grateful for this week. It has been a wonderful week filled with special memories.  The one that stands out most is spending time with my grandson at his school for Grandparents Day.  My husband and I were so proud of him as he confidently shared his special world with us.  On a lighter note, I was really happy that I was the grandparent sharing this experience, not the teacher planning it. I remember how much work it took to produce a day like this and I am very grateful to all of the teachers who went above and beyond the call of duty to make this an extra special experience for all of the children and adults.
I am also grateful to Leah for creating Art Every Day Month.  It has been a while since I have painted and it has been wonderful working in my art journal each day.  As I continue to remind myself  that it is all about the process and not the final product, I remember just how relaxing painting can be.  I plan to continue this practice throughout December and see where it leads me.
This has been an exciting Thanksgiving week.  As we move on to more holidays and festivities, my goal is to focus on the positive, keep things as simple as possible, and enjoy every special moment.
I would love to know about the things that you are grateful to have experienced this week as well as your goals for the upcoming month.  Have a wonderful weekend.
Ginny

It was my niece´s first Grandparents day at Kindergarten last week, which prompted me to show my kids their own Grandparents day at Kindergarten scrapbook pages. What a lovely memory!
I´m enjoying AEDM too. :)

How nice that the school continues to honor grandparents, and that you can share that with your grandson! I like your intention to keep things simple and positive in the coming month. Your artwork is lovely!

Hello Ginny,

Keep watching my blog, have some plans for the month coming up. Hoping to have my next thankful post tomorrow. with the kids home on break it's hard.

I love grandparents day, such a treat for them to come in. My son got to do this twice and he loved it.

I'm planning on keeping it simple this holiday season.

See you again soon, thanks for sharing and making me smile.

Beautiful flower!!!! Sounds like your grandparent's day did what it was supposed to do - let your grandchild share a part of himself that family doesn't get to see every day!

Ginny, your pansy journal page is lovely!! I'm enjoying doing more work in my journals this month too...AEDM has been a wonderful motive to keep at it daily.

Glad to hear you had a great time at Grandparents Day. It's so special for the Grandparents and the kids.

It hasn't been a great week health-wise for me so I've been very grateful for my bed each night. I am also very grateful for all the new friends I have made via AEDM.

Enjoy your weekend,
Serena :)
