It is interesting to hear from my sister all of the creative ways people are helping each other. Even in times of need, or maybe especially in times of need, the person who sees through a creative lense is able to solve problems that others see as unsolveable. To all the creative problem solvers of the world I want to say, "Thank you!"
Some weeks are easier to find things to be grateful for than others. This week I am so grateful that my family is all safe. I grew up in New Jersey and every summer we went to the Jersey shore. My sister and her children and their families all live at the shore very close to the beach. They are all safe and their homes are ok. Trees are down around them and they are without electricity but compared to what they could be experiencing they are very, very lucky and they too are very grateful for all that they have and for the people who are there to help. My nephew, who is a policemen in some very rough neighborhoods has been doing his job evacuating people who are still stranded. We are all very proud of him and the work that he and his fellow officers do each and every day.

Your painting has a lovely, soft gentleness to it. It is truly amazing that so many escaped the fury of Sandy, and now we witness the true goodness of people as the emerge from the disaster. Happy PPF

S glad your sister is safe and hasn't suffered from too much damage... it has been awful to watch and see the damage unfold... and hoping that people can get back on their feet as soon as possible...
