Friday's Special Moment of Gratitude

It's Friday, time to party with the other artists at Paint Party Friday.  I hope that you will join the fun and visit all of the artists.  I promise you will see some amazing work.

This week I decided to bring out my watercolors once again.  I started this picture a long time ago but never finished it. I used both watercolors and pastels, and at least for now, I believe it is finished.  Maybe in another year I will take it out again and add something else.

This was a week of celebrations.  There were several birthdays to celebrate and tonight a good friend had her first official book launch.  It is wonderful to see someone's dream come true and to be there to help them celebrate the results of all their hard work.  We all have dreams!  This week I am very grateful to be reminded that dreams do come true!
What are you grateful for this week?

I feel I am speeding by on that little ship and can feel the sea air breeze and smell the sea air. Really brings me in.
Congrats to your friend. Yes, we all have dreams. And it's exciting when we bring them into fruition.

I love how serene this little painting is - makes me think of the Scottish lakes for some reason! Congrats to your friend - that's so exciting!

I'm grateful this week that my friend met someone who is organising an art exhibition and when my friend told her I painted she said she'd love to meet me! Fingers crossed!

It's fun that you think of your paintings as open-ended, and you may pull them out again to add something. Kind of like life! I've had a crazy week, and I'm glad it's finally Friday (after feeling like Friday for the last 3 days). Happy PPF!

This reminds me of the views from ferries we took around the San Juan Islands. I just love seeing mountains beside the ocean.

My Uncle used to let me lie down on the top of his boat and hold on to the rail off the New Jersey(intercoastal area) not in open sea. Feeling hot from the sun and chilly from the breeze at the same time, eyes squinting! Your painting lives!

Well everyone said what I was going to say. This painting is incredibly serene and tranquil. Also congrats to your friend--that must have been exciting. As for what I'm grateful for? Well too much to list here but one thing is I am glad I've forced myself to make time for art. PPF is certainly a great motivator.

I am grateful that we found a name for our baby girl without any work or stress at all. I came across the name (Kelilah) while I was looking up the Hebrew for the word bride (the two are related) and within 24 hours we decided we loved it, chose Kaylee as a nickname, and even picked a middle name. No fuss, no stress. Lovely.

This looks like a wonderful place on a pretty boat. Yes, always a celebration when someone attains their dream. Blessings, Janet PPF

What a lovely watercolor painting. I sometimes work in big intervals as well, and it's interesting how a painting develops this way.
I am grateful for my family and our new house that truly is becoming our home.
