Friday's Special Moment of Gratitude

When I painted this picture I was thinking of the times my husband and I went skiing.  I began skiing at 50 and to say the least it was a painful process.  But it was so worth all the effort!  We both have so many wonderful memories of the times we spent together on the slopes.  And that is what I am most grateful for this week.  I am very grateful for the opportunities and memories that I have. They help me to remember that it is never too late to meet new people, to learn new things, and to begin new adventures.  There are still so many things I want to do with my life.  When I look at this painting I remember that if I can learn to ski at 50, I can do anything once I put my mind to it.
What are you most grateful for this week?

Once again, I would like to thank Eva and Kirstin for hosting Paint Party Friday. It has been so inspiring meeting all of the artists who share their work each Friday.

Thank you for this lovely post. I think it's easy to put limits on ourselves as we get older, but it's great to keep learning new things.

I am grateful for the chance to play again. I find the blogosphere and all the wonderfully creative people I've met, like you, have returned joy to me -- I am learning how to be a child again, even as I grow older. I am grateful for this:~)

Have a good weekend, Ginny. I love your paintings, your photographs and always your thoughtful words. You are swimming in your own creativity and I'm pleased to be a small part of it. Enjoy it:~)

Wonderful picture of some happy times. We haven't had any snow on the ground this winter, but then we still have a couple of months to go. The daffodils are budding and will be out in a day or two. Unusual.

Wonderful painting Ginny! Jeff is always trying to talk me into learning to ski and I'm 54. Maybe there's hope! I think the thing I'm most grateful for this week is looking at all the wonderful posts for PPF!!! Its a great break after a bit of a chaotic work week, lol!
