Friday's Simple but Special Moments of Gratitude

This week I decided to keep everything as simple as possible and I was pretty successful at doing just that.  As I write my gratitude posts each Friday, I realize more and more that it is the simplest things that can make me the happiest.  I am grateful that throughout my life there have been special trips or events that I will never forget but I think I am most grateful for the day to day little things that make me smile.  A song on the radio that brings back great memories, a smille from a stranger, and watching my dogs play are all things that I am grateful for this week.  The sun shining, the breeze blowing, and the flowers beginning to bloom are other things that I am grateful for.  The week has been filled with simple but special moments that I hope I will remember for a long long time.  What are you most grateful for this week?

And of course I am very grateful for Paint Party Friday which I have linked this post to.
Be sure to drop by the party.  I can assure you will meet a lot of wonderful artists and have lots of fun!

I'm also grateful for small things. A snow fall that made everything clean and white. Sipping my favorite tea as I watch the bird feeder. Life is good.
Your roses are lovely. Happy PPF Anniversary! Helen @ Natures Walk

I agree, it's the little things that count most, and it's so satisfying taking your time to actually notice and appreciate them. Your roses are gorgeous!

I'm grateful for all those simple things too, they are simply the best. Today is a blowy day, so fresh, I love that and relish the freshness, the light, March and its day to day change! My baby girl is 9 and a half months now, we all enjoy sharing our days with her, as she discovers the world around her, the bees busy in the rosemary plant, a fleeting bright butterfly, the fresh breeze on her face, it's all such a discovery, simple pure moments! Have a wonderful week-end!

Lovely thoughts and beautiful roses. There are so many wonderful things in my life to be grateful for ! The things that make me smile are my children, my friends a good joke and old memories. I've been emailing with old school friends about all the things we did growing up and it has been wonderful! However, the very best thing in my life is my granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace, who will arrive in july. I can't wait to meet her!!!

Simple is sometimes exactly what's needed....to slow down, to notice and appreciate...

A lovely water color . I like the way the petals of the roses have a touch of color, very delicate and beautiful in their simplicity.

You are so right about being aware of the simple but abundant joys we have everyday. So thankful for my home, car, phone, grandchildren and children, good friends. When I think of the many who are without these things that the Lord has blessed me with, I can't help but be grateful. Happy paint party to you, and thank you for the beautiful flowers!

Lovely paintings of roses (my favorite!).

Happy (late) PPF!

I agree with you that the things that bring me joy and which I'm grateful for are the small things. Little sparkles in our lives. It's up to us to notice them!

I love your grateful posts. You remind me to stop and be grateful. I sometimes forget or think I'm too busy, but you are so right...the simple moments mean so much. I feel that way when I watch my cat sleep or the birds take a bath in the birdbath. Little moments of pure joy. Thanks for the reminder.

Once again, the picture is beautiful. You make them so simple, but they rich in detail. Also, how you use the page is excellent; you keep the eye moving and full at the same time.
