Creating a Future

"The future is not someplace we are going to but a place we are creating.  The paths are not found but made." (John Schaar)

I found the above quote this morning and it really spoke to me.  Each special moment we have should be enjoyed just because it is a moment in time but also because it is helping to create our future.  After working for so many years and always have a plan for the future, it has been unsettling to not know exactly what I am going to do next.  But in changing how I think, I realize I am creating my future just by the choices I make each day and it makes me feel more in charge of my life.  The food we eat, the exercises we do, the people we surround ourselves with all help shape our future.  People keep telling me that the things I am doing are leading to something.  I am starting to see where the path is going and I like the view.
