Something about small country churches has always fascinated me. I wonder when the church began, who came, and how the church influenced or changed the lives of the people who attended it. This church started in the 1800s in a rural area that is just beginning to grow. When you drive by, it is obvious that it is well loved and cared for. I have decided to create a series of pictures of small country churches. When I travel I am going to try to find at least one small welcoming church to photograph. Do you have a favorite subject you like to take pictures of, paint, or write about?

Wow. I love this church photo, Ginny. So serene... I want to step into it and walk through that door.

Hi Ginny, just stopping by to say Happy New Year and tell you how much I like the church photo. I really do want to go in there and feel how the inside feels. Thank goodness we have been able to hold on to a lot of little country churches here (and a few old churches in the parts of town that were country not too long ago). This church, you can tell, is very well-loved and well-taken -care-of by the congregants. Thanks and I look forward to more photos! oxox
