Today is Wishcasting Wednesday and Jamie asks, "What story do wish to get rid of or what story do you wish to tell?" I thought I had an answer but then something else came to me as I started to type. I want to get rid of the notion that everything has to be perfect. A very long time ago someone told me I was a perfectionist and I really thought they were crazy. Then as I thought about the question this morning I realized maybe they weren't so crazy after all. Being perfect keeps you from doing things you want to do or from never really being satisfied with what you are doing. So I want to change my story. In my new book the heroine is as accepting of herself and the things she is doing as she is of other people. In this story, she will be there for others but she can't be expected to solve all of their problems. In my new story there are good times and bad, but mostly there are sunny days with just a few clouds and their is always lots and lots of laughter and fun. Some of the story will stay the same because it is a really good story and it would be sad not to appreciate it but in the next chapter the main character will stop being the heroine who can solve all problems and start being the crazy lady next door who is really having lots of fun!!
